Class Description:
This workshop is perfect for both beginning and intermediate screenwriters.
Our Film Lab Faculty will share multiple approaches to screenwriting formats, genres, finding stories, creating memorable characters and writing dialogue. There will be numerous discussions highlighting industry standard and lesser known techniques to help you create your own screenplay.
As our instructors speak from their own experiences, questions are answered with first hand knowledge from professional situations.
During this workshop you can look forward to Screenplay Readings and Analysis, Group Discussions, Film Clips and Short Writing Exercises.

This class will be led by Randy Pearlstein. Guests may join in throughout the day.
Randy Pearlstein was a regular cast member on CHAPPELLE'S SHOW and is currently a principal on Comedy Central's MICHAEL AND MICHAEL HAVE ISSUES. Randy is a professor of film and television writing at RUTGERS UNIVERSITY and is on the faculty at the Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) in New York City. He has also written numerous screenplays including Lions Gate's CABIN FEVER. Randy studied directing under Mike Nichols and annually leads seminars for the esteemed DIRECTORS GUILD OF CANADA.
