In a friendly environment, focus will be placed on 2 person scenes, group scenes, commercial parodies, television parodies, short films and abstract comedy. On the video front, classes will cover the rudiments of video production and editing, as well how to maximize the impact of comic material with minimal resources.

Students will also learn the ins and outs of the Canadian Comedy industry with techniques for breaking into Live Shows, National Tours, The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, and Marketing Web Videos.

This 8 week course will allow you to brainstorm, write and re-write sketches of various styles. The group will study numerous methods of performing sketches and how approaches to live and filmed material differs. The final class will provide you with an opportunity to share your work with an audience.

Since their inception in 2001, The Imponderables have been on three successful national tours. They won 'Pick of the Fringe' Edmonton 2002,'Pick of the Fringe' Toronto 2003, and the 'Just for Laughs Best Comedy Award' at the 2004 Montreal Fringe. In March 2004, The Imponderables made comedy news by becoming the first independent comedy troupe in Second City's 30-year history to headline alone on the prestigious mainstage. They took that opportunity and the sold show brought them a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Sketch Troupe, as well as a CBC Sketch Special with Kevin McDonald of The Kids in the Hall.

"One of the grandfathers of podcasting" Toronto's Rocket Ace Moving Pictures is Canada's oldest continually operating Internet video group. A recipient of more Canadian Comedy Award nominations in their web video category than anyone in history, they have produced some of the countries most well known web serials and viral videos including the 52-episode zombie comedy "Dead End Days", two seasons of the off-kilter breakfast-based sitcom "Cerealized", as well as DVD's, soundtracks, and script books on serialized writing for new media.

Since partnering to make comedy video shorts for the web, Rocket Ace and The Imponderables have had their work profiled on the front page of every major video sharing site, and have been featured in TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, and have been featured several times on the G4 network's "Torrent" and "Attack of the Show"
